I love how this captures the eerie quality associated with Shade Man's theme. The bell chimes add to the effect very well.

The heavy beat treads a line between "being there" and sometimes overpowering the main melody.

However, overall, this piece was really enjoyable. I'm definitely downloading it for my personal library.

n_n Sorry for posting to late a response, but I was fixing my PC.
I'm grateful to you for listening to my remix, and for download it, It makes me happy =)

Pure ear bliss

I have to say, this is one of my personal favorite covers of Elec Man's stage of all time (except maybe Evolution of Circuitry by The Megas and Entertainment System). The synth definitely draws out that happy, peppy feeling in the tune in a soothing way that's easy on the ears, and I feel the bass beat you gave it works well with it.

I want you to know this was pure bliss on my ears, and brought back the memories I had of climbing up through Elec Man's stage.

Birdinator99 responds:

That's fantastic -- when songs have a certain nostalgia factor to them, the listening experience is always pleasantly enhanced, and I'm glad you got that!

I checked out some other covers on this site prior to making this, and I really didn't feel that they did justice to the original while at the same time expanding by introducing something new. I did not, however, run into the one you mentioned, so I will definitely check it out.

Thanks for leaving a review!

Holy scheisse

Not only did I have a nostalgia moment but for a moment the hairs on the back of my neck stood up while listening to this. Which is a good sign, mind you. You NAILED it. Like to the point where I keep listening in amazement after a dozen loops.

You, sir, kicked so much arse with this.

That's what I thought when I was putting it together. But it's still not perfect yet. I want to really nail this one. :D

Thanks for your review. :)

"Truly Lives Up to its name"

It is very rare that I end up spellbound by a remix, but to literally have my breath caught up in my chest and feel a chill down my spine from a remix is even rarer. You managed to achieve both with this remix. It might be the beauty of it. It might be the soothing quality. It might even be both. But the fact remains that my mind and body were spellbound, and continue to be spellbound every time I listen.

You managed to take Flash Man's stage theme, and change it into the musical version of the Time Stopper. I prefer the instrumental set you used for your remix to "Nuclear Flash" on OCR (which I notice you recommended); yours seems to fit better to me for some reason that I still haven't quite put my finger on.

I may have had my one of my other friends comment for me once upon a time, but I still stand behind that comment--It truly lives up to the name 'Epic Flashback'. 10/10

BallinFatty responds:

sorry this is so late. didnt see it here until today. wow. ive never heard a comment like that before. especially to a song i made back in 08. now 4 years later, i listen to this, and im not as impressed with it now as much as i was when i created it. because i've grown and learn new tricks and whatnot. however from you saying that its better than an OCR track... that means a lot. altho i disagree, im glad you think that. everyone is entitled to their own opinion. i have nothing against you for liking my track more than an OCR track. thanks for the review, 10, and your time in listening!!

I'm a Gamer chick who already feels old well before her time. My loves include my fam, my friends, the Stardroids from Rockman World 5 (MMVGB for my fellow Americans), and pizza (college stereotype that I should probably grow out of).
